There was some concern that the turnout for the Festival Hispano ’07 event would be light due to fears of the possibility of demonstrations. But God answered our prayers and there were so many that some had to be turned away. Praise God. the Gospel is reaching many.

Denial

Denial, ones first defense against incomprehensible horror. Robert Clary first spoke publicly about his experiences as a 14 year old in Europe the year I heard him speak to a theater full of US Marines at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center at Twentynine Palms California United States of America. Got to set next to the man at the luncheon afterward. Mr. Clary had for many years not wanted to make a public statement about these things but was forced to recall the horror publicly due to infidels like the worm from Iran that uses the misery of others for their own evil desires. Were I God this worm would be hanging by his intestines above the rock from which He drew the world from, which by the way is in Jerusalem. My rage was inflamed yesterday when hearing of the state of things in Cambodia where some of the younger deny that things could possibly have been as bad as their elders report to them. Of course it could not have been that bad, people could not possibly have done such things now could they? Denial, a party’s first defense against incomprehensible horrors. A clear look at mankind reveals our responsibility for all the suffering of the innocent and all other evil around use. Denial, mankind's first defense against the incomprehensible evil that lies in our hearts.

Might be a good idea to get past this first defense and reconcile with our God before He rightfully strings us up by our intestines above the heavens.

Another post using MS Windows Live Writer beta, which by the way does not support Myspace and that took me some effort to find out. I dislike Myspace anyway, Sara's says I'm too old for it and I get too many invites there from what appear to be beautiful women looking for companionship; I suspect half are searches for pedifiles and half phishes. WLW does work at Intel but one needs to set the ProxyManager to Outside and that took me some effort to find out how to do.

Well my MS Office 2007 arrived? More to learn and really exasperated at the complexity of the experience. Menus changed of course so now I get to work with Office 2007 some places and older stuff others. Makes Mac stuff fall even lower on the ZBB list. Hmm, was going to say something of vast importance but forgot whatever it was.

US Universal Health Care Insurance Program (UHCIP)

Provide universal health care coverage by issuance of $5000 in vouchers annually to every US citizen for the purpose of purchasing individual health care insurance. Insurers are required to accept all regardless of pre-existing conditions if they choose to participate in this program. Individuals may use more than one voucher for multiple insurers or providers but the total amount must not exceed the full value set for each year ($5000 is a good number to discuss). Insurers would be paid the amount of the voucher and an annual amount dependent on the unused vouchers calculated as the difference between the sum of the vouchers paid and what would have been paid if 100% of those with SSN’s had used their full amount. This unallocated portion will be paid annually to Insurers in proportion to the amount of the vouchers they were reimbursed for*. Those using the vouchers to purchase insurance who are not satisfied with the provisions of their insurer or insurers will be free to choose others providing motivation for insurers to provide quality insurance.

This would reduce or eliminate Medicare, Medicaid, VA Hospitals and a host of government programs (multiply these by 50 or more for the host of government aid wasted in each state now). Imagine all employers no longer having to manage care of millions of employees. We spend more now and get far, far less. Yes the majority has good coverage now but they are paying the cost of the minority that does not. Recent numbers published show the cost of health care in the US is more than $6000 per person. Oh and that $5000 number I threw in there would probably be too much but Insurers would fight to keep it high for their stock holders.

Only nothing can come of nothing so there has always been something, and God is it, self existent, having no beginning and no end. He is a truly majestic and magnificent being who has revealed himself to man as a three in one person, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is a statement of faith. However faith in God is like faith that the floor will be there when you step out of bed in the dark. The evidence is overwhelming and if God did forsake us it would be far more frightening than falling into a bottomless pit.

Elections in Iraq seem to have gone well. NPR's sounds of the week included Senator Kennedy saying "we have a torture problem". Hopefully Bush's four more years will be good for the country in spite of the Democrats doing everything in their power to prevent it. Yes we GOPers have made mistakes but I am glad we have not stood up and said they were our fault. Clearly all our problems are due to partisan politics. There is hope that we may become a one party country and have done with the back biting rage of the enemy aiding likes of Kennedy and any others who put there party before the welfare of the world, Republicans included.

Ahhhh CHRISTMAS all hail His glorious birth.

Celebrated Sara's birthday this evening with fine wine and food at the new Romano's Macaroni Grill and had a great time. An opera singer sang happy birthday in Italian to her and she loved it. Sara also loves her new iPod. We are very proud of Sara's work as a medical assistant in the Columbia Womens Clinic and her diligent studies to advance herself in the medical field. These are the greatest blessings our Lord Jesus Christ could have given us.

Linda and our most beautiful youngest daughter Sara Jane at the Tulip festival earlier this year.

35 years ago a ship carrying the biggest part of HQ Btry 12th Marines arrived in Okinawa with me on board after spending 9 months in Viet Nam. Told my Vietnamese barber yesterday about my Daughter, Son in Law and grandchildren moving to Romania and she ask " don't they like it here?"

Well Monday I turned 57, a small number in some contexts. Learned how small an angstrom is while working at Intel, 10^(-10)m around four of these gets you from side to side of a hydrogen atom. So if one uses an angstrom to gage the volume of the universe one should get a large number but using some liberal assumptions I came up with much less than one google. Really expected to get into the googleplex realm so what the heck gets that big.

On 20 July 1969 UT 20:17:40 (04:17:40 p.m. EDT) Apollo 11 landed on Earths Moon at Mare Tranquillitatis - Sea of Tranquility (0.67 N, 23.47 E) - I was just south of the demilitarized zone in Vietnam at LZ Stud where the 9th Marine infantry regiment aka the Walking Dead were located. I was with a meteorological section of Headquarters Battery, 12th Marines.
